Racks Supported Warehouses & Pre Engineered
Building For Storage
Generally Racks are installed in a warehouses / pre
engineered building for storage in the floor space
available.
However, it is found quite economical to have
warehouse, which is supported on the Uprights of
Racks, as structural members; and all the Roof
Trusses, Lateral Purlins and Top & Side Sheeting are
done along with Racks only.
We manufacture pre engineered storage building
which has following components
Racks - Conventional ,Double deep racks ,
Pallet, Drive in racks, Cantilever racking etc.
Truss Rafters - On every Upright or two.
Purlins – On Top and Sides with bigger spacing .
Roof Deck & Side Cladding Sheets - G.I. /
Color
Coated .
Following to be done by Client –
Civil work. - Foundation, Floor Slab, Side Walls,
Gates.
Electrical Work – Light arrangements, power points

Columns, Foundation Footing Cost (Floating Foundation required), Lighter Rafter sections due to Less Span, since
middle racks also supports roof load. ( No bracings
)
Lighter Purlin Section due to less C/C column
spacing, Optimized Space Planning is possible for type of
material Handling Equipment selected. Hence saving
of Floor space.
Illumination only in the Isles /Required Places,All Advantages of P.E.B. (Pre Engineering. Buildings)
The drive in system is also suitable for forming
the main structure of a self supporting ware house.
Light Weight Whole Structure is Light
yet Very Sturdy for Wind / Siesmic
considerations.

WAREHOUSES (Pre-Engineered Building)
Pre Engineered Building With Storage Solution
are generally designed for two categories :-
Ground operated Forklifts Trucks/ Stackers.
Overhead Stacker (Like Indef).
Design for overhead stacker is uneconomic
compared to previous type where we can have
more supports for superstructure truss. The
structure with overhead crane will also have
dynamic element , resulting from operation of
crane.
However, Overhead Stackers (ground Operated)
are very economical, compared to
Stackers/Forklift trucks hence overall economy
will be assessed case to case basis.

Type of Racks and Material Handling System.
Economy – Cost of Warehouse supported by
Racks is always economical as compared to the

above.
